Frequently Asked Questions
How are magazines shipped?
You have the choice of Priority or Media Mail. Priority mail is usually delivered in 2-5 days from the date of shipment, Media Mail can take anywhere from 3 to 14 days. (Sometimes longer) Orders are shipped within 1-2 business days. Actual delivery times are the combined total of handling and shipment times.
Should you need your order faster, rush handling is now available for a minimal price. Rush handling orders move to the top of the queue and are usually shipped the same day if ordered by noon PST. (Our warehouse is located in Washington State)
My order is taking longer than expected to arrive?
You can track your order from your account page or from the email you received when your order was shipped. Our recommendation at this time is to choose Priority Mail to expedite delivery. Media mail seems largely affected by shipment delays due to the holidays and winter weather. We apologize for any delay, but unfortunately it is out of our hands.
Are the magazines you’re selling reprints or digital copies?
Absolutely not. Every issue is an original magazine as issued by National Geographic. Our warehouse currently holds close to 15,000 National Geographic Magazines (That’s over 7 TONS of magazines!). Rest assured, you will receive an original National Geographic magazine, absolutely no duplicates, or digital copies.
What condition should I expect my magazines to be in?
All our inventory is checked on arrival before being individually poly-bagged. We check every issue for missing pages, folds, binding, tears, marks, etc. Bagged issues are generally considered to be of good quality and contain no obvious flaws. That said, there are times lower quality issues make their way through, in those cases it’s best to reach out to us – we will always do our best to replace your issue(s) should you find flaws we might have missed.
Please Note: If you are concerned about the quality of the issue(s) you’re interested in, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to describe any flaws prior to you placing your order.
Do magazines contain maps or inserts?
When we acquire inventory, most magazines do contain their original supplements, inserts, maps, etc. They are then verified to be the original insert that shipped with the magazine, before then being poly-bagged along with that issue. However, if the magazine does not contain its insert, we do not replace the missing insert with ones we sell separately.
However, as inventory permits, we will always pull magazines that contain inserts for your order before those without them. In instances where you need an insert, it’s best to reach out to us and we can verify the issue(s) you’re inquiring about do in fact contain them. Alternatively, stock permitting, you can purchase them from our maps section.
Will I receive tracking for my order?
You will receive an email containing both your order information and a separate email with your tracking number as soon as your order ships. If for some reason you do not receive your email, you can always log into your account and check your order status for your tracking number.
Are you associated with National Geographic?
This website and our company is in no way affiliated with National Geographic Partners and the National Geographic Society. We are collectors with a passion for National Geographic. We bring our love and respect of both National Geographic and National Geographic Magazine to our customers around the world.
Do you purchase magazines?
At this time we are not purchasing additional inventory outside of our normal suppliers. It has proven to be cost prohibitive to ship large quantities at this time.
How does the waitlist work?
Customers on our waitlist are immediately notified when we update stock for an issue they’re waiting for. This does mean if there’s one or a dozen (or sometimes many more) customers waiting, they will all be notified. You will want to act fast when you receive an in-stock notification email. If the issue is sold out, other customers have already purchased our stock and you will have to place yourself back on our waitlist for our next shipment.
We do our best to restock as many of the requested issue as possible. However, we cannot promise or predict how many of any specific issue we will restock.
